Meet and Greet with Lauren Boebert!

We are having a meet and greet with Lauren Boebert on Sunday August 23 from 4-6 pm, at the SLV Republican Office, 817 Main Street, Alamosa. There will be refreshments, water and soft drinks. Lauren will speak, there will be a time for questions and mingling. Lauren wants to do a flag wave on Main Street in front of the office, so bring your flag! Let’s get a big crowd out to support Lauren!!

First Monday of each month - Reoccurring

We have have changed our monthly meetings. We will now be meeting on the first Monday of each month, still at noon and still at Juanito's Mexican Kitchen.

Saturday July 4th

Our Independence Day Parade/Protest (an unsanctioned parade to protest the City of Alamosa not having their usual 4th of July parade) turned out great! Just a bunch of patriots coming out to celebrate our freedom and independence. Thank you to everyone who participated and attended. You are what makes this country great!

Monday, Febuary 3rd

Our February meeting was Monday, February 3, 2020 at  IHOP  Our guest speaker was Logan Taggart, candidate for State Senate District 35. 

Tuesday, January 11th

On January 14th, we had a Meet & Greet with Greg Lopez, candidate for Governor in 2022.

Monday, January 6th

Regular meeting of the Alamosa County Republicans at Nino’s at noon. The guest speaker was Lauren Boebert, candidate for US House of Representatives.

Saturday, November 11th

November 11 was the Veteran’s Day parade. 

Saturday, November 21st

Regular meeting of the Alamosa County Republicans will be on November 21st at noon at Juanito’s. Cleave Simpson, who is running for State Senator in our district was our special speaker.

Thursday, August 1

This Thursday, August 1, Congressman Scott Tipton will be attending a couple of events in Alamosa. He will be speaking at our meeting of SLV Republican Women at noon at Juanito's on 6th Street. All Republican women in the Valley are welcome to attend. That evening at 6:00 pm he will be at Colorado Farm Brewery at 2070 County Rd 12 South, Alamosa.

Saturday, July 27

Huge crowd at Stampede parade We had a good response to our float with lots of thumbs up, and high fives, and "go Trump." I got a lot of compliments on my Trump shirt and maybe some new people to come to our meetings. That's what it's all about; let the communities know we are here and get more people involved. Thank you to our parade crew, great job!



Saturday, July 19 & 20

We had a great time at Pioneer Days in Manassa, both at the booth and in the parade. Met lots of people and tossed out lots of candy and beads during the parade. I didn’t get any pictures though!

July 4th

Had a great time at the Alamosa Independence Day Parade this morning. Here is our float and some of the volunteers who walked alongside the float handing out candy and beads.

 


June 14th

Korry Lewis with the Resist Polis PAC hosted a town hall at the Comfort Inn on highway 160 in Alamosa. She  presented information about recalling governor Polis.

Tescheduled Stand For Colorado rally on a very windy day, but we did have a few stop by to sign the NPV petition.


June 8th and 9th,

We had a great turn out at our booth at Summer Fest on the Rio. We added several people to our contact list who will hopefully start attending our meetings. We also got all of our National Popular Vote petitions filled out and signed by patriots who don’t want our votes taken away. But we have more petitions coming this week, so if you haven’t signed yet you will still have an opportunity to do so!

Lincoln Day Dinner  Tuesday, April 23, 2019 - 5:30 PM Happy Hour/Cash Bar, 6:30  PM Dinner/Woody's BBQ Alamosa Armory, Alamosa, Colorado Speakers: Senator Cory Gardner and Representative Scott Tipton.

Everyone had a great time at the Lincoln Day Dinner last week. Senator Cory Gardner, Congressman Scott Tipton and State GOP Secretary Devin Camacho were the speakers. Wonderful BBQ dinner was catered by Woody’s Q Shack. Thank you to everyone who participated.

GOP participates in Fourth of July parade


Saturday, October 6th

  • Join the Alamosa County GOP for the ASU Homecoming Parade this coming Saturday morning.  Meet at 9:00 a.m., in the parade prep area along the train tracks.  There will be a flat-bed trailer to ride on, or you can walk and hand-out candy.  Alamosa County GOP Vice-president Denise Witherspoon (witherdc88@hotmail.com) will be the GOP lead for this event.

  • Immediately following the parade, the Alamosa County GOP Candidates are hosting a free lunch on the lawn in front of the Century Property Management Building, 823 Main Street, Alamosa (corner of Ross and Main).  Hot-dogs and fixins, chips and water will be provided. Join us for lunch before you head to the game.

  • The Amendment X and Y event previously slated for 2 p.m. that afternoon, has been re-scheduled. Future time and location tbd.

 

Tuesday, October 9th

 Alamosa County candidate debate, 6:30 p.m., contested races only; Society Hall, 400 Ross Avenue, Alamosa. Bring your questions of concern for the candidates.Update:  The GOP candidates all gave stellar performances!


Tuesday, October 16th

Alamosa County, Colorado House District 62, and Congressional District 3 candidate meet and greet; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., St. Ives Pub.  Hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks provided.



Wednesday, October 17th

Support Amendments X and Y (Fair Maps Colorado, redistricting), Adams State University Nielsen Library, room 302, 7: 00 p.m.



Thursday, October 18th

The last meeting of the Alamosa Republicans before the election, and probably for the year. Noon - 1 p.m., Nestle Toll House Cafe. 



Wednesday, October 24th

Defeat Proposition 112 rally, 5-8 p.m., St. Ives Pub. Co-hosted by Alamosa GOP.
